Barn conversion in the Old Sheep Pens
The Sheepfold is our hidden gem, a converted barn that was once home to our sheep during the lively lambing season. Now transformed into a cosy bedroom, it sits perfectly between the farmyard and the mountains, offering breathtaking views of the eastern slopes of Ullock Pike, Carl Side, and Long Side, creating an unforgettable backdrop to your stay.
With a window overlooking the sheep pen, be sure to close it before you drift off to sleep, or you might have a woolly surprise at sunrise!
Whether you opt for the king-sized bed or twin beds, you’ll find a comfy spot to relax after a day of exploring. Located on the lower ground floor, the room offers a peaceful and quiet atmosphere.
The luxury en-suite bathroom includes a walk-in power shower, and modern amenities such as a flat-screen TV with streaming services, mini fridge, and tea/coffee making facilities ensure your stay is both comfortable and convenient. This charming room is perfect for recharging after a day full of adventure.

All accommodation pricing is based on “per room, per night” and prices range dependant on which tariff you wish to choose. We offer three different rates from you to choose from:
Bed & Breakfast Rate
You may cancel free of charge until 30 days before arrival. You will be charged the total price of the reservation if you cancel in the 30 days before arrival. If you don’t show up, you will be charged the total price of the reservation.
Room Rate Only
You may cancel free of charge until 30 days before arrival. You will be charged the total price of the reservation if you cancel in the 30 days before arrival. If you don’t show up, you will be charged the total price of the reservation.
Room Rate Only Non-Refundable
Please note, if cancelled, modified or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Bed and Breakfast Information
For guests opting for the Bed & Breakfast rate, a continental breakfast hamper will be delivered to your room upon arrival. This hamper includes a selection of cereals and muesli, bread, crumpets, cheese, fruit yoghurt, fresh fruit, biscuits, various jams, marmalade, and honey, as well as butter, milk, and orange juice. The hamper is replenished daily, but if you need additional items, just ask any member of the Highside Farm team, and we’ll be happy to assist. Each room is fully equipped with a table, chairs, plates, bowls, cutlery, a small fridge, and tea and coffee-making facilities.
Optional Breakfast
Should you wish to add breakfast to your room-only booking, it is available for £12.50 per person per night. To arrange this, please contact us at 07481 461268 or email stay@highside.co.uk. We can also recommend great breakfast spots in Keswick or Cockermouth if you prefer dining out.
Dietary Requirements
We are happy to accommodate any dietary needs. Please contact us before your stay if you require any adjustments to your continental breakfast.
Important information
Check-in Times
We are currently operating a self-check-in system, however, as we are a working farm, please note check-in time is any time after 15:00.
Breakages
Any damages or breakages during your stay will be chargeable unless otherwise agreed with proprietor.
Pets Welcome
Up to 2 pets allowed. We kindly request that you bring your own bed or blanket for your furry friend’s comfort. To maintain a clean and pleasant environment for all guests, we kindly ask that pets refrain from using the furniture.
No Smoking
No smoking is permitted in or around the farm. You may smoke at the front of the house near the bus stop, but no ashtrays will be provided.
Housekeeping
Daily housekeeping is provided for Bed & Breakfast guests, including replenishing your hamper, lightly cleaning your room, and changing towels or bedding as needed. If you prefer not to have your room entered, please use the “Do Not Disturb” door hanger provided.

Birthday Package: Enjoy helium-filled balloons, foil number balloons, and a bottle of prosecco to toast your special day. This package is priced at £30.00.
Anniversary Package: Celebrate with helium-filled love heart balloons and a bottle of prosecco. This package costs £30.00.
Special Occasion Package: For any celebration that doesn’t fit the standard categories, we can create a custom balloon and prosecco package to suit your needs. This package is also £30.00.

These are only applicable to those staying in The Huts. Each hut has a BBQ and Fire Pit available to use to FREE OF CHARGE. If you should wish to use the BBQ or Fire Pit during your stay, you can purchase a range of additional extras shown below (see prices and packs):
