Dating back to 1668, The Farmhouse is more than a place to stay—it’s a cherished piece of history. This Grade II listed building has seen centuries unfold, transforming from a bustling working farmhouse to a welcoming B&B and now into a charming self- catering home. Embraced by scenic beauty and positioned on elevated grounds, the farmhouse treats you to abundant panoramic views, with Bassenthwaite Lake to the front, Ullock Pike and Skiddaw to the rear.
The Farmhouse is newly refurbished, blending original charm such as oak beams and an inglenook fireplace with contemporary style. Step into the spacious farmhouse-style kitchen, equipped with modern amenities, a range cooker, and a breakfast area perfect for morning coffee. Adjacent, the large dining room features a wood burner for a cozy dining experience.
The lounge offers a Smart TV, electric-effect wood burner, and character beams, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The games room includes a pool table for friendly competition.
Upstairs, find four bedrooms: a king bedroom with an ensuite shower and lake views, a family room with a king bed, single bed with trundle, and ensuite shower also overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake, a super king bedroom (convertible to twin) with stunning views, and a cozy double bedroom at the rear. The family bathroom features a walk-in shower, ideal for relaxation. The second floor also includes a snug with a TV, perfect as a kids’ den.
Outside, enjoy a front lawn and an enclosed side garden with outdoor furniture for alfresco dining and spectacular views.

Important Information
A 3-night minimum stay is required. Bookings for fewer nights are available at the 3-night rate.
Enjoy a 10% discount on bookings of 7 nights or more.
Manage your booking and pay the remaining balance online through our booking portal. The final payment is due on the day of arrival.
On your arrival day, you’ll receive an email with a 4-digit passcode to access the keys.
Terms and conditions
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel free of charge until 30 days prior to the arrival date. If cancelled within 30 days of the arrival date you will be charged the total price of the reservation. Similarly, if you don’t show up, you will be charged the total price of the reservation.
Check-in Times
We are currently operating a self-check-in system, however as we are a working farm, please note check-in time is any time after 16:00.
Breakages
Any damages or breakages during your stay will be chargeable unless otherwise agreed with proprietor.
No Smoking
No smoking is permitted in or around the farm. You may smoke at the front of the house near the bus stop, but no ashtrays will be provided.
Up to 4 pets allowed. We kindly request that you bring your own bed or blanket for your furry friend’s comfort. To maintain a clean and pleasant environment for all guests, we kindly ask that pets refrain from using the furniture

These are only applicable to those staying in The Huts. Each hut has a BBQ and Fire Pit available to use to FREE OF CHARGE. If you should wish to use the BBQ or Fire Pit during your stay, you can purchase a range of additional extras shown below (see prices and packs):
